Without waiting for the official premiere at the Frankfurt Auto Show, the manufacturer presented the new Ferrari F8 Spyder roadster. In fact, this is the same version of the F8 Tributo, only with an open top. The covered version was presented 6 months ago, at the Geneva Motor Show, so you should not expect especially new characteristics. The new roadster differs only in the roof and, of course, small modifications in the rear. Accordingly, the weight of the novelty has grown by 70 kg, although it is 20 kg lighter than the 488 Spider Roadster.

Thanks to the refinement of the body and the reduction in weight, the aerodynamic drag of the sports car has decreased by 10%. In keeping with the bodywork, the new Ferrari F8 Spider is powered by a 3.9-liter V8 petrol engine with two turbochargers. It was this unit that became the best in the category for 2016, 2017 and 2018. In 2018, it was named the best engine in the last 20 years. The total power is 720 horsepower, and the maximum torque is 770 Nm.
In tandem with the engine, a 7-speed robot with a preselection is installed. To improve the dynamics of the sports car, as well as stable handling, the engineers installed a slip assistant on board, as well as a brake pressure monitoring system. Together, this allows for precise control of the braking system and cornering. The sports car Ferrari F8 Spyder overcomes the first hundred on the speedometer in 2.9 seconds, the second hundred on the speedometer is covered by the sports car in 8.2 seconds. As for the maximum speed, the engineers have limited it by software at around 340 km / h.
Recall that in addition to the presented Ferrari F8 Spyder roadster, they plan to show the 812 Superfast roadster by the end of the month. Also in November, the appearance of a grand tourer model is expected, under the hood of which a hybrid V6 is likely to be hidden. It will be an alternative to the current SF90 Stradale.
