But the situation changed dramatically in 2013, when the official debut of the third generation of X-Trail took place, which caused a storm of discussions in the world media.
To say that the new X-Trail has changed is to say nothing. The crossover has got a better quality interior, a modern technical component and a completely rethought exterior design, which has lost its angularity and clumsiness. Considering the Nissan X-Trail 2017 characteristics of the rear sofa, it is worth noting the presence of not only a sufficient amount of free space, but also the absence of a central tunnel, due to which three adult passengers will comfortably fit here.
Special attention should be paid to the fact that for a surcharge, the buyer can retrofit the car with a third row of seats, on which only children and adolescents will be more or less comfortable.

In the European market, the car is additionally available with a 2-liter 177-horsepower diesel engine, and in America - with an electric-gasoline engine with a capacity of 176 "horses".
The new Nissan X-Trail is built on a proprietary CMF bogie, offered with both front and all-wheel drive, while the front suspension is represented by classic MacPherson struts, and the rear suspension is multi-link. The steering is represented by an adjustable electric booster that can change its behavior depending on the type of roadway.
